Sir Kogath, could you give a short insight on what new moves do Greatswords have both in MHOnline and MH4/MH4G? Thanks a lot in advance.
I’ll split the games;
Rolling forward with your weapon drawn and hitting X will let you roll into the sword slap attack, while rolling sideways and hitting X will let you roll into a horizontal slash.
There is now a follow up attack to the super charge attack which is a huge horizontal swing. The damage of it varies depending on which level of the super charge you used. The main downside to this attack is the recovery time is pretty long, even if you combo it into a horizontal swing or roll. It can also be done after a jump attack.
You can also do a rather quick overhead swing after climbing up a ledge.
There’s a lot of changes here and I may not have even found all of the attacks before the beta ended. Some attacks must be bought from the Blackbelt Trainer before they can be used, and you must be the appropriate Level (same thing as HR) to learn them.
You can do a horizontal swing when your weapon is sheathed, and can even combo it into more horizontal swings when upgraded.
From a guard position you can do this kinda awkward sword slap which can follow up into an overhead swing (can’t charge it though).
You can roll forward into a rather quick overhead swing which I found really useful on multiple occasions.
The first finisher attack for GS was this tornado swing that hits multiple times and has two parts to it. The first part you spin and hit the monster with the side of your sword which does KO damage, and the second part is a spin in the opposite direction which does cut damage and is stronger.
The second finisher has you slam the sword into the ground and build up power before unleashing a devastating attack.
I think that covers everything. Wasn’t exactly short though. ^_^;

Tery: What do I think of Cy? Well… She’s the greatest friend a girl could ever ask for. Cy’s been there for me and has always been by my side. I don’t think I could find anyone better than her.
She has always been a bit grumpy, but it’s like a coconut.
